18 entries for TCR Spain season opener in Barcelona

The 2025 season of the TCR Spain kicks off this weekend at the Montmeló circuit in Barcelona with the series presenting an 18-car entry list for the first of five rounds,

The series continues its growth with seven teams present and 18 drivers from eight nationalities and across four trophies.

Apart from the overall TCR championship, there will be a Junior Trophy for drivers under 21 years of age, a TCR Cup for Gen 1 cars and, as a novelty for 2025, a Master trophy for drivers over 45 years of age who never have finished in the top five of a TCR championship.

Spaniards Eric Zabala and Eric Gené and Briton Jason Brickley will also drive Cupra Leon VZs for Monlau Motorsport.

Germany’s Mike Halder and Denmark’s Rene Povlsen will be at the wheel of Honda Civic FL5 TCRs from TPR Motorsport, with RC2 Racing team fielding three Hondas for the brothers Víctor, Rubén and Felipe Fernández.
