39 cars entered for 2025 TCR Italy opener at Misano
A massive field of 39 cars have been confirmed for the 2025 TCR Italy season which starts this weekend at Misano, with 20 cars in the main SEQ championship and 19 for the DSG championship which are run separately.
The list is headed by reigning champion Nicolas Taylor who continues to race an Audi RS 3 LMS for PMA Motorsport.
While last year’s runner-up Ruben Volt has departed the championship, Taylor will once more face stiff opposition from last year’s bronze medalist Nicola Baldan (Audi) who continues to race for Aikoa Racing.
Other potential front runners include Hyundai driver Michele Imberti, who finished sixth overall last year, and the BRC Racing Team duo of Alex Ley and Gabriele Covini.
Honda team MM Motorsport is fielding three Civics for Jacopo Cimenes, Marco Pellegrini and Michal Bartoszuk.
A key change to the regulation has been made for 2025, with the SEQ championship reverting back to a standing start while the DSG championship keeps the rolling start procedure which was introduced last year.
The Misano season opener weekend starts with qualifying for the SEQ championship on Friday at 18:30 CEST, followed by the first race on Saturday at 12:05 and the second race at 10:00.
