Iain McDougall confirms 2025 TCR Australia entry
Iain McDougall has confirmed his entry to the 2025 TCR Australia season, driving a family-run Audi RS 3 LMS under the Challenge Motorsport banner.
“I’m delighted to return to TCR this year,” said McDougall.
“Our plan was always to run at Winton and The Bend, and we are excited to return to One Raceway where we started our car racing journey at the Wakefield 300.”
The Australian driver has confirmed to take part in the three Australian rounds of the season but not the season finale in Macau.
Last year saw McDougall taking part in selected races with two top ten finishes as his highlight and he will race in the new Kumho Cup for Gen1 specification models this year.
“The development of the Kumho Cup for Gen 1 cars is an exciting initiative which we are passionate about. It’s a fantastic way to get more cars on track in 2025 and we are proud to be a part of it,” said McDougall.
“This year will be a return to our racing roots, with Challenge Motorsport being my dad (Brett) and I, plus a few key supporters to apply the learnings and experience developed over the past three years working with the team at MPC.”
McDougall becomes the fourth so far confirmed entry for the season which starts on June 27-29 at One Raceway, explore the full list in the TouringCarTimes Grid Projections.
