TCR Australia season opener at One Raceway cancelled
The TCR Australia season opener at One Raceway has cancelled, making the third time the season start has been axed for the 2025 season.
The One Raceway organisation issued the following statement today on social media:
“Unfortunately, the late withdrawal of a couple of key categories – TCR Australia and AU3 – has caused the cancellation of the Motorsport Australia Trophy Tour event scheduled for 28-29 June.
“While this is disappointing, it’s given us the opportunity to meet popular demand and provide enthusiasts the opportunity to sample our circuit on a weekend… in both directions!”
The 2025 TCR Australia season was originally supposed to start at Taupo Motorsport Park on April 11-13 before being moved to Perth on June 6-8, with the latest revision of the calendar being issued two months ago to hold the season opener at One Raceway on June 27-28.
There are so far only four confirmed entries for the 2025 season, including two Hyundais from HMO Customer Racing, one Audi from Team Soutar Motorsport and one Audi from Challenge Motorsport.
There is so far no official statement from TCR Australia on the cancellation and potential further revisions to the calendar.
