Brad Harris confirms entry for The Bend
Brad Harris has confirmed that he will contest the upcoming TCR World Tour and TCR Australia event at The Bend at the wheel of a Honda Civic Type-R.
Harris will drive the same car that he competed in last season with Wall Racing, despite the fact that the team has elected against an entry into the two rounds that make up TCR Australia this year.
Instead, Harris will compete for his own Harris Motorsport team, who will benefit from support from both GOAT Racing and JAS Motorsport across the weekend. Former Supercars racer Dean Canto will act as driver coach.
Harris will be the only member of the family on track, with brother Will missing out due to the fact that he is about to become a father.
“I am looking forward to the challenge of running a TCR car as our own operation for the first time, alongside GOAT Racing and JAS Motorsport,” Brad Harris said.
“Having Dean Canto on the radio and guiding me throughout the event will also be a real asset, as Dean has a wealth of track knowledge at Tailem Bend through his driver training and coaching work – possibly more than anyone.
“It’s exciting to be racing back in TCR. We recently completed a night test at Sydney Motorsport Park and have spent the last few months refurbishing our truck inside and out and setting up our team to run as a professional outfit. We pride ourselves on presentation with our family-run team, much like our business, Exclusive Switchboards.”
