19 cars entered for joint TCR World Tour and TCR Australia round at The Bend

19 cars have been entered for the joint FIA TCR World Tour and TCR Australia round at The Bend next weekend of which eight are national entries.

The race weekend will be the fifth FIA TCR World Tour round of the season while it is the season opener for the two-race weekend season of TCR Australia, with the legendary street race in Macau serving as season finale for both championships.

The top three drivers from the 2024 TCR Australia season will be on the grid, including reigning champion and Hyundai driver Josh Buchan, runner-up and Audi driver Zac Soutar and Honda driver Brad Harris.

Garry Rogers Motorsport will bring one of its four latest-generation Peugeot 308 P51 TCR race cars for Jordan Cox who finished fifth overall in the Australian series last year.

Ashley Seward Motorsport will field its Lynk & Co 03 TCR, which was driven by Dylan O’Keeffe to fourth place overall last year, with TCR debutant and Dunlop Series3 champion Cody Burcher taking over the seat for this race.

HMO Customer Racing will field a total of three Hyundais, with reigning champion Buchan being joined by Ryan MacMillan and Macau race winner Lo Sze Ho (Hong Kong).

The FIA TCR World Tour field remain unchanged from the previous round, headed by championship leader Yann Ehrlacher (Lynk & Co) who is 27 points ahead of Honda rival Esteban Guerrieri. Cyan Racing team-mates Santiago Urrutia and Thed Björk are 35 and 43 points adrift respectively in third and fourth place.

The race weekend at The Bend is held together with the Supercars Championship on September 12-14.
