Mike Halder and René Povlsen withdraws from TCR Denmark finale
TPR Motorsport has announced that it will withdraw its drivers Mike Halder and René Povlsen from this weekend’s TCR Denmark season finale at Padborg Park to instead focus on TCR Spain.
“The decision has been made after much consideration, as we both lead our own championships in Spain; Mike the overall championship and I the Trofeo championship,” said Povlsen.
“The Night Race at Padborg Park is a great race and a shame to miss it, but we want to come to Spain as well prepared as possible, with the transport time to Jerez of approximately 3,200 kilometers also playing a role.”
The decision means that the 2025 TCR Denmark title fight becomes an internal Mascot Motorsport affair, with team-mates Kasper Jensen and Malte Ebdrup sharing the lead on 405 points.
Halder is placed third overall, trailing the leading duo by 21.5 points with 101 points still available in the season finale.
The decision shrinks the already small TCR Denmark field to eight cars for Padborg Park.
Halder heads the TCR Spain standings with a margin of 14 points over Eric Gené with two races remaining of the season.
