Esteban Guerrieri heads FIA TCR World Tour free practice at The Bend
Title candidate and Honda driver Esteban Guerrieri topped the joint FIA TCR World Tour and TCR Australia practice session at The Bend in Australia, beating Hyundai driver Néstor Girolami by 0.1359 seconnds.
Girolami made it three Hyundais in the top four, with Mikel Azcona third and reigning TCR Australia champion Josh Buchan fourth, two and four tenths of a second from the fastest time respectively.
Ignacio Montenegro made it two Hondas in the top five while Ryan MacMillan (Hyundai) claimed sixth.
Reigning FIA TCR World Tour champion Norbert Michelisz, who topped the shakedown session, was seventh fastest ahead of Cupra driver Aurelién Comte.
Santiago Urrutia, who is placed third overall, was fastest of the Lynk & Co Cyan Racing drivers in ninth, while team-mate Thed Björk rounded off the top ten, 1.8 seconds from the top time.
Points leader Yann Ehrlacher was eleventh, 1.7869 seconds from title rival Guerrieri.
