Raphael Reis joins TCR Spain at Jerez

TCR South America front-runner Raphael Reis is going to join the TCR Spain round at Jerez this weekend with Monlau Motorsport.

“I’m very happy with this opportunity,” said Reis.

“It’s something I’ve been looking forward to for a long time. We closed the deal at the last minute and now I’m heading to Spain for this new challenge.”

Reis is currently placed fourth overall in TCR South America where he races for Cupra team W2 Pro GP and he will race a similar CUPRA Leon VZ this weekend.

The Brazilian driver drove for Monlau Motorsport in the 2024 FIA Motorsport Games where he finished second overall.

“We’ll be racing with Monlau Motorsport, with the same structure I used to compete in the FIA ​​Motorsport Games last year, when I won the silver medal,” said Reis.

“So I know everyone in the team well and I’m also familiar with the car and Cupra’s technical structure. I feel very comfortable in the team. It will be my debut at Jerez, a historic circuit. I’m very excited.”
