Halder beats Brickley and Gene in close Jerez qualifying
Mike Halder (Honda) beat Monlau Motorsport team-mates Jenson Brickley and Eric Gene (Cupra) in a close qualifying session for the penultimate 2025 TCR Spain round at Jerez.
The TPR Motorsport driver lapped the Spanish circuit in 1:52.062 to beat Brickley by 46 thousandths and Gené by 88 thousandths.
Felipe Fernandez (Honda) was fourth fastest, 0.133 seconds from pole, while Sten Dorian Piirimägi was a distant fifth for ALM Motorsport, close to four tenths slower than Halder.
TCR South America front-runner Raphael Reis (Cupra) was sixth fastest for Monlau Motorsport ahead of Michael Markussen (Honda) and Victor Fernandez (Honda).
The first race of the weekend starts at 10:35 CEST on Sunday.
