Power Maxed Racing to run Audi S3 Saloons from 2026
Power Maxed Racing have confirmed that they will run newly developed Audi S3 Saloons from the 2026 British Touring Car Championship.
In what is set to be the latest exciting switch for the Independent squad, the move to the Audi S3 Saloon will mark the start of a new chapter following the devastating fire that wiped out the team’s two Vauxhall Astras earlier this year.
The decision to run the Audi follows extensive evaluation of the current BTCC technical landscape, with the S3 Saloon having been selected for its strong aerodynamic package, balance and adaptability to both current and future touring car regulations.
Adam Weaver, Power Maxed Racing Team Principal, said: “We’re incredibly excited to announce the switch to the Audi S3 saloon for 2026. The BTCC is all about pushing boundaries and staying competitive, and we believe the Audi platform gives us a fantastic base to build from.
“We’re committed to delivering a car that not only looks the part but can fight at the front of the grid from Round 1. Selecting the Audi platform was both strategic and competitive, as we believe the shape gives us an advantage and it also fits well with both existing and potential brand partners.”
The 2026 campaign will see Power Maxed Racing work closely with its trusted technical partners to ensure the new cars are optimised for performance under the latest BTCC rules.
In keeping with tradition, the cars will carry an eye-catching livery featuring the likes of Power Maxed that has become a fan favourite, alongside key partners including Steel Seal and many others, ensuring the team continues to be one of the most recognisable outfits on the BTCC grid.”
