Josh Cook wins final race of the season

Josh Cook took his first win of the season to close out the 2025 British Touring Car Championship season at Brands Hatch.

After starting the day from the back of the grid, the Speedworks Motorsport produced a superb fightback across races one and two to position himself on the front row for the reverse grid finale.

Like pole sitter Aiden Moffat and third-placed man Jake Hill, Cook saved his soft tyre for the finale and made the most of it as he scythed down the inside of Moffat on lap four to grab the lead before the safety car appeared after contact between Dan Rowbottom and Dan Cammish on the run up to Druids.

On the restart, four-time champion Ash Sutton – also on the soft tyre – dispatched Moffat and set off after Cook however the Toyota Corolla driver was too far ahead and utilised his superior TOCA Turbo Boost to pull clear and triumph.

Sutton held station to tally his second podium of the season while Jake Hill signed off his final appearance in the championship with a sublime drive to third place, having earlier gone door-to-door with stablemate Moffat.

Gordon Shedden capped off a strong final day of the season in his Toyota to snare fourth with Moffat fifth and newly-crowned champion Tom Ingram hustling his Hyundai i30 N to sixth place at the chequered flag.

Completing the top ten was Adam Morgan, the recovering Rowbottom, Senna Proctor and Sam Osborne.

Further down the order, Daryl DeLeon managed to secure the Jack Sears Trophy despite being passed by Charles Rainford. In the battle for the Independents’ Trophy, Daniel Lloyd survived a tense battle with Mikey Doble to triumph.
