BTCC champions crowned at Brands Hatch finale

The British Touring Car Championship closed out its 2025 season in style at Brands Hatch this past weekend with Tom Ingram being crowned champion for the second time in his illustrious career.

On what proved to be a tense final day at the Kent venue, Ingram converted his healthy points advantage into an unassailable lead in race two to reclaim the coveted crown that he first won back in 2022.

Ingram’s road to the championship superstardom has been nothing short of sublime this year with seven race wins and a further 11 podiums providing the backbone to his charge back to the touring car summit.

Behind him, four-time champion Ash Sutton ended the year as vice-champion whilst his Alliance Racing team-mate Dan Cammish clinched third place in the Drivers’ Championship ahead of Jake Hill and Dan Rowbottom.

The final day of the season saw a majority of title battles go down to the wire with NAPA Racing UK narrowly beating Team VERTU to lift the Teams’ Championship for a fourth successive year.

A non-finish for Cammish in the finale however meant that the Manufacturer-Constructors’ Championship went the opposite way with EXCLER8/Hyundai clinching the prize for the first time by just a three points.

In the Independents’ Championship, Daniel Lloyd and Restart Racing were the toast of the competition as they each claimed maiden titles. Daryl DeLeon meanwhile reigned supreme over his West Surrey Racing team-mate Charles Rainford to lift the Jack Sears Trophy.

The British Touring Car Championship returns in 2026 with the season-opener set to take place at Donington Park on April 18-19.
