Giacomo Ghermandi joins Misano grid

Giacomo Ghermandi will return to the TCR Italy grid for the season finale at Misano this weekend.

Ghermandi will be at the wheel of a Honda Civic Type R run by the MM Motorsport team as he rejoins the grid for the first time since competing in the Monza meeting last year – where he scored a best result of fourth.

The Italian driver has also competed in three rounds of TCR Europe this season, scoring a pair of top twelve finishes.

“We really wanted to participate in this final round of the TCR Italy in Misano for two reasons,” he said. “On the one hand, it will be the opportunity to test ourselves in an extremely competitive environment and to test the progress made throughout the season thanks to the experience gained in both the TCR Europe and the Eastern European series.

“On the other, this will be the ideal opportunity to celebrate our season with a party in the company of sponsors, friends, and fans.

“We are aware that it will not be an easy weekend, but the goal will still be to make a good impression and give great satisfaction to both the MM Motorsport team and all those who come to visit us.”
