Brad Jones Racing splits with SCT ahead of 2026
Brad Jones Racing looks set to downsize to three cars for the 2026 Supercars season after announcing it will part ways with SCT Motorsport at the end of the current campaign.
BJR has been responsible for running the SCT entry since 2020 when Pete Smith announced he had purchased a Racing Entitlements Contract from Jason Bright.
Initially running Jack Smith, Jaxon Evans took over at the wheel last year but the former sportscar racing won’t return in 2026 when it was expected that the SCT seat would become one of six Toyota Supra GR models debuting in the series.
It remains to be seen where the SCT entry will now appear next season, with links to Tickford Racing having already been shot down and speculation about a potential move to Triple Eight as it prepares to switch from Chevrolet to Ford.
“Brad Jones Racing advises that its partnership with SCT Motorsport will conclude at the end of the 2025 Supercars Championship season,” a statement from BJR read.
“SCT Motorsport first joined BJR in the Super2 Series in 2017 before moving into the Supercars main game in 2020.
“With the 2025 season marking the final chapter of the collaboration, BJR wishes the SCT Motorsport program all the best going forward.
“Brad Jones Racing will share details of its 2026 plans in due course.”
