Penalty for Thed Björk hands maiden pole to Josh Buchan

Thed Björk has been handed a penalty for an incident with Reignbert G. Diwa during the FIA TCR World Tour qualifying session at Inje Speedium, handing pole position to TCR Australia champion Josh Buchan.

Björk tangled with Diwa during the Q1 session, resulting in a spin into the barriers for the TCR Asia driver and a red-flagged session.

The stewards handed Björk a three-place grid penalty for Race 1, meaning that Buchan will start from pole ahead of Lynk & Co Cyan Racing driver Yann Ehrlacher.

While Björk is dropped three places, he will keep his 15 points for the pole position.
