Thed Björk leads Lynk & Co Cyan Racing 1-2 in Inje Speedium finale
Thed Björk headed the last race of the FIA TCR World Tour weekend at Inje Speedium from lights to flag, securing a Lynk & Co Cyan Racing 1-2 with points leader Yann Ehrlacher.
Björk started from pole position thanks to scoring the most points from qualifying and the first two races ahead of Ehrlacher and Josh Buchan.
While the two Cyan Racing drivers got a good getaway, Race 1 winner Buchan bogged down and dropped from third to sixth.
BRC Hyundai driver Mikel Azcona made a strong start from sixth on the grid to snatch fourth before the end of the first lap.
The race was mostly static, with Cupra driver Aurélien Comte the sole exception as he moved his way up through the field from eleventh on the grid.
Comte was stuck behind Hyundai driver Néstor Girolami for several laps in the fight for ninth place.
Girolami made a mistake on lap ten which saw Comte getting past and setting his sights on Norbert Michelisz in eighth place, passing the reigning champion two laps later.
Comte then caught Ma Qing Hua and passed him for seventh on lap 12.
GOAT Racing driver Guerrieri was close to Ehrlacher during the first part of the race in the fight for second place, but his efforts faded at mid-point of the race.
Björk won the race with a margin of 1.5 seconds over team-mate Ehrlacher while Guerrieri was a further half a second behind in third.
Azcona was a distant fourth, close to 18 seconds behind Björk, with Santiago Urrutia and Buchan close behind in positions five and six.
Comte reeled in Buchan towards the end but had to settle for seventh ahead of Ma, Michelisz and Ignacio Montenegro who rounded off the top ten.
Ehrlacher has extended his points lead to 47 as Björk moves past Guerrieri to second place overall, with the Honda driver now trailing Ehrlacher by 54 points with two race weekends remaining of the 2025 season.
Next up is the penultimate round at Zhuzhou in China on November 1-2.
