Expanded 2026 Supercars Championship calendar confirmed

The Supercars Championship organisation has confirmed an expanded 2026 calendar as the Australian championship moves to three different manufacturers represented on its grid, with Toyota joining Ford and Chevrolet.

The calendar will be expanded from 13 to 14 race weekends from February to December, with Ruapuna Raceway in New Zealand set to host round number four.

“We’re incredibly proud to present a calendar that not only delivers more racing but also breaks new ground for our fans and teams,” said James Warburton, Supercars CEO.

“The New Zealand double-header is a historic moment, and the debut of Toyota at Sydney Motorsport Park is something we’ve all been looking forward to.”

Another new feature for the 2026 season is that the first day of each race weekend will be free for spectators.

“Making the opening day free for everyone is our way of saying thank you to the fans who make this sport so special,” said Warburton.

“We would like to thank all our stakeholders for their vision and support in bringing this calendar to life.

“We’re ready for a season that will be remembered for years to come. We’re proud of the access we’re able to provide for our fans.”

There are no other major changes to the calendar compared to 2025 other than that the Perth Super440 race weekend is moved from June to July.

The season will kick off with the Sydney 500 on February 20-22.
