Ehrlacher vs Björk in Macau season finale title fight: “It’s game on”

The 2025 FIA TCR World Tour drivers’ title fight has become an internal Lynk & Co Cyan Racing matter between current leader Yann Ehrlacher and team-mate Thed Björk as the dust of this weekend’s races at Zhuzhou settled.

Ehrlacher headed into the Chinese weekend 42 points ahead of the Swedish driver and left it 34 points ahead following a victory and podium finish from the three races.

“It was a good race, and I’m happy with another podium that means solid points again. This is the most important thing right now,” said Ehrlacher.

“I’m feeling confident going to Macau. Anything can happen there. I would love to be able to go and just enjoy it all weekend, but it’s not going to be easy at all. The goal is to stay focused and hopefully bring this championship home.”

Björk outscored his team-mate by eight points this weekend, despite carrying the maximum compensation weight of 40kg compared to Ehrlacher’s 30kg.

And Björk will drop 10kg for Macau, meaning that they will both carry 30kg in the season finale.

“We’ve scored good points again and I’m still in the fight heading to Macau, a track I love, so it’s game on,” said Björk.

There are 75 points left to fight for in Macau, meaning a tough job for Björk to catch his team-mate.
