TCR Denmark promoter steps down
The current promoter of TCR Denmark has announced that it will step down after 2025 following a period of declining entries.
“It is no secret that the last two seasons have been challenging. We have seen the number of participants drop from 22 cars in 2023 to 9 cars in 2025,” read a statement from TCR Denmark.
“We have always strived to deliver a professional product, but we can no longer guarantee that – and therefore we will not continue as promoters of TCR Denmark.”
The Danish series was launched in 2020 and grew to its peak in 2021 with close to 20 full-season entries while the 2025 season just featured five full-season entries.
“Although it is a sad day, we can look back on six seasons with a string of highlights for both participants, spectators and Danish motorsport as a whole,” continued the statement.
Kasper Jensen dominated the TCR Denmark era, clinching five out of six titles, only beaten this season by team-mate youngster Malte Ebdrup.
There is so far no information on whether any other promoter will take over running of the Danish series.
Following the closure of TCR Scandinavia in 2022, the Nordic region now stands without a dedicated TCR series.
