Lo Sze Ho: “It’s magical to compete with the World Tour”
Local hero Lo Sze Ho (Hyundai) is feeling upbeat after finishing in the top ten in the two free practices sessions at the Guia street circuit in Macau, host of the 2025 FIA TCR World Tour season finale.
“First of all, I’m very happy for this year’s performance,” said Lo Sze Ho to TouringCarTimes. “The first free practice session was complicated, because it was a year since we had been in Macau.
“After the first session we adjusted the balance and we did some setup changes and in FP2, in the first two laps I could feel the difference and have more confidence to push in the fast corners and also high up the mountain.”
The Macanese driver believes he still can improve further on the free practice performance.
“I feel like I might be able to one 1-1.5 seconds faster, I’m capable of doing that, and I can’t wait to being able to fully push in the qualifying,” said Lo Sze Ho.
“My target is to be in the top ten in the qualifying, this is a tough race, so my target is the top ten, because, if we do the top ten, we have the reverse grid for Sunday race.
“I’m not a professional driver, but I’m happy with the performance I have, and I know that if I want pole, that’s not realistic. That’s why I want to do top ten, because Macau is full of magical moments so, if I can get top ten, I might be in a better starting position for Sunday race, and I can’t wait if I do that.”
Lo Sze Ho has been part of the the 2025 FIA TCR World Tour since the fifth round of the season at The Bend in Australia and is making the most of competing at the world stage.
“The World Tour drivers are so fast and better prepared,” the Hyundai driver said.
“There is a lot of difference, and to be able to compete with them is an honour because, from a young age, I watched the races on TV every year, and now I can compete with them and not be too far, which is something magical for me.”
