Yann Ehrlacher and Thed Björk expects a tough fight in Macau
Cyan Racing team-mates Yann Ehrlacher and Thed Björk both say that they will face a “tough” title fight at Macau, not only because they will be fighting each other for the FIA TCR World Tour drivers’ title.
“The fight is on and tough but I think we will have a fair weekend. I think it will be quite good,” said Ehrlacher to TouringCarTimes.
“The championship is very good and we have a high-level field, I think it will come together nicely for this race.”
The Frenchman is chasing his third world touring car title and heads Björk, who is chasing his second, by 34 points with 75 points left to fight for this weekend.
“We have an important fight ahead of us, but that doesn’t mean we are the only ones looking for victory,” said Björk.
“There are other tough drivers in the field, so this will be a complicated weekend.
“This is the last race of the season, so nobody has anything to lose. Many drivers will be looking for the last moment glory, so I expect it will be a weekend of tough competition right until the end.”
