Hyundai announces four-car entry for 2026 TCR South America season

Hyundai Motor Central & South America has announced a four-car programme for the 2026 TCR South America season.

“We are pleased to announce Hyundai’s unprecedented, strong, and active presence in TCR South America,” said Gerardo Carmona, VP of Sales, Product, and Marketing for Hyundai Motor Central & South America.

“Participating in this competition is key to promoting Hyundai’s attributes in global motorsports throughout the region.

“TCR South America is a high-performance competition, and we are fully confident that Hyundai products and the team’s talented drivers will reaffirm our brand’s impressive track record in motorsports.”

Diego Ciantini (27) has become the first confirmed driver of the programme, a former Formula 4 Italy and Germany driver who finished third in the 2024 Turismo Carretera season.

“It’s a true pleasure to represent Hyundai in TCR South America Banco BRB, a very important brand in world motorsport,” said Ciantini.

“It will be a great challenge to be part of a category with such a high level of drivers. I hope to have a great season with Hyundai MSA, and it will be a great honor for me to represent them and work alongside Damián Fineschi and the entire team.”

The team will field four Hyundai Elantra N TCRs in the championship next year, with the remaining three drivers to be announced early next year.
