TCR Australia confirms 2026 dates and regulation changes
The TCR Australia organisation has confirmed changes to its sporting regulations and the dates for its 2026 calendar, featuring four visits to The Bend and one to Mallala Motorsport Park from March to August.
The owners of the two circuits have taken over promotion of TCR Australia in co-operation with WSC, the TCR rights holders, and announced a new Category Manager in the form of Charlotte White.
“I’m excited to take on the role of Category Manager for TCR Australia at such an important point in the series history,” said White.
“TCR Australia offers a professional, competitive and globally recognised platform for the next generation of touring car drivers.
“The wider package of Summit Championship Series supporting TCR Australia, offers an incredible platform to support and develop the next generation of drivers, with clear and exciting progression opportunities globally through the wider TCR network.
“I’m looking forward to working closely with the teams and competitors to help grow the category and continue building a strong future for TCR in Australia.”
There will be separate championship honours for Generation 1 and 2 TCR cars and a Pro-Am Cup which allows for two drivers to share a single car.
Each driver would take part in one race heat per race day and results would be shared between the two.
Each race weekend will consist of one qualifying session and two sprint races per day.
