Alliance Racing recruits renowned engineer Kevin Berry
British Touring Car championship squad Alliance Racing has announced it has signed title-winning engineer Kevin Berry ahead of the 2026 season.
Since working in the UK’s premier motorsport series in 1999, Berry has established himself as one of the championship’s most experienced and successful engineers.
At Triple Eight Racing, he helped guide the team to a total of eight Manufacturers’ titles and six Drivers’ Championship’s across 13 years with the team’s Vauxhall programme.
From there, Berry moved to West Surrey Racing and played an integral role in helping Colin Turkington triumph in 2014 and 2018. He was also honoured with the prestigious Engineer of the Year Award in 2018 as well.
In addition to his BTCC exploits, Berry has also gained invaluable international experience engineering drivers in the FIA World Touring Car Cup and FIA TCR World Tour.
Commenting on joining the reigning Teams’ champions, Berry said: “I’m excited to join Alliance Racing for what promises to be a competitive season.
“The team already has an outstanding pedigree and I’m looking forward to working with the drivers and engineering staff to build on the success they achieved in 2025. There’s an expectation of excellence here and I look forward to contributing to further success in 2026.”
Pete Osborne, Alliance Racing Team Owner, added: Bringing Kevin on board improves an already very strong group of people. His championship-winning pedigree—multiple titles, Engineer of the Year recognition—combined with our established success makes for a formidable combination.
“With the development work we’ve completed over the winter, Kevin’s expertise will be crucial as we push for the title in 2026.”
