15 cars entered for 2026 TCR Spain season opener

15 cars have been entered for the 2026 TCR Spain season opener at Jarama this weekend, down from 18 cars in last year’s premiere in Barcelona.

ALM Motorsport has entered three Hondas for Sten-Dorian Piirimägi, who finished sixth overall last year, Danish racer René Povlsen and Demir Eöge.

Team Clairet Sport has entered two Audis and a Cupra for Erik Zabala, who finished third in 2024, Mathieu Casalonga and Samuel Chaligne who will drive the Cupra.

Victor Fernandez Gil will race a Honda for Auto Club RC2 Valles and Portuguese debutee Manuel Fernandes will race a Cupra for SP Compétition.

TCR Europe and TCR UK front runners Viktor Andersson (Cupra) and Luke Sargeant (Audi) will make guest appearances in the season opener for Monlau Motorsport and Vannin Motorsport respectively.

Three of the 15 entries are part of the TCR Cup which are reserved for first generation TCR cars, such as the Peugeot 308 Racing Cup cars of Alvaro Rodriguez Sastre and Samuel Gómez and the Cupra TCR of Miguel Villacieros Sundmacher.

The premiere weekend starts with qualifying on Saturday at 16:30 CET, followed by two races on Sunday at 11:30 and 16:10 respectively.
