Max Hart secures ALM Honda seat
Max Hart will return to the TCR Europe grid for the 2026 season after inking a deal to join forces with ALM Motorsport.
The Irish racer, who won at Hockenheim last season, will switch from the Hyundai Elantra he has raced in various championships since 2023 for a Honda Civic Type R FL5 TCR run by the 2024 teams’ champions.
It marks the first time that Hart will have raced in Honda machinery, and comes on the back of him also being confirmed as a JAS Motorsport-supported driver for the season ahead.
“I’m extremely proud both to become a JAS Motorsport Supported Driver and to announce this exciting programme with ALM Motorsport,” he said.
“Working so closely with JAS Motorsport is going to be super-beneficial for me and I plan to learn everything I can to help my progression as a driver and to help them with their testing and their customer programmes.
“Racing with ALM Motorsport – who are a fantastic and ultra-professional team – puts me in the best position possible to fight for the TCR Europe title and I couldn’t be looking forward to the season any more.”
Mads Fischer, JAS Motorsport’s TCR project leader, said he felt confident that the 24-year-old would be an asset to the team in 2026.
“We’re very pleased to welcome Max to the JAS Motorsport family and to see him positioned with a fantastic championship-winning team like ALM Motorsport as he bids to win in TCR Europe in 2026,” he said.
“Max is a driver who has raced in TCR championships all over the world and won races in all of them – including on one of the most demanding circuits of all on the streets of Macau.
“We’ve seen previous JAS Motorsport Supported Drivers, like Ignacio Montenegro and Josh Files, win major TCR championships, so we know that the formula works and that a talented driver like Max can take full advantage of the opportunity he now has.”
