Un-Limited Motorsport to miss 2026 BTCC season
Un-Limited Motorsport has confirmed that it will not take part in the 2026 British Touring Car Championship season.
The team had secured two TOCA BTCC Licences for the forthcoming campaign but have now cited the loss of one of its man sponsors as the reason why it will not compete.
Born out of the now disbanded Team HARD, Un-Limited Motorsport made its debut in the BTCC last year – originally fielding three Cupra Leons for Dexter Patterson, Nicolas Hamilton and Max Hall.
While Hall parted ways with the team during the summer break, Patterson and Hamilton completed the season, with Patterson tallying two Independent race wins along the way.
“Un-Limited Motorsport today confirms that it will not be competing in the 2026 British Touring Car Championship season,” read a team statement.
“This difficult decision follows the withdrawal of our title sponsorship programme, driven by the current economic climate.
“Despite exploring a number of alternative options to remain on the grid, it has unfortunately not been possible to secure the level of support required to compete at the standard the team expects.
“While we are disappointed not to be taking part this season, the team remains committed to its long-term future and will continue working behind the scenes to evaluate opportunities moving forward.
“Un-Limited Motorsport would like to thank our partners, supporters and fans for their continued encouragement and understanding.”
