Aiden Moffat makes switch to Power Maxed Racing
Aiden Moffat will embark on a new challenge in the British Touring Car Championship this year after agreeing a deal with Power Maxed Racing.
Bringing long-term sponsors LKQ Euro Car Parts with him to the Independent outfit, the Scotsman will drive one of the team’s brand-new Audi S3 Saloons in 2026.
Moffat – who sits inside the top ten on the all-time list for race starts – had spent the 2025 campaign with West Surrey Racing, claiming a best finish of fifth at the season finale.
This year’s switch to the Audi will mark the fifth different car that the 29-year-old will have driven in as many years.
Joining Moffat at Power Maxed Racing is his former team-mate, Dexter Patterson, while a third driver is expected to be announced soon.
Moffat said: “It’s about time? We’ve been talking about this longer than a Scottish winter! Honestly though, I’m so happy we could finally make it happen.
“Adam backed me when I was just a young lad starting out, so to come full circle and get in a PMR car now, it just feels right. Combining this with LKQ Euro Car Parts, who I have also had a long relationship with, is something very special.
“I haven’t been this excited since my BTCC debut.”
Adam Weaver, Power Maxed Racing Team Principal, added :“We’ve known Aiden and his family for a long time.
“Backing his debut all those years ago and now bringing him into a Power Maxed Racing car feels like things have come full circle. He’s achieved a lot already, but we genuinely believe the best is still to come.”
