24 cars entered for TCR Europe season opener at Mugello
24 cars from eleven teams have been entered for the 2026 TCR Europe season opener which takes place at Mugello in Italy this weekend.
All eyes are on Monlau Motorsport after having claimed both the drivers’ and teams’ titles last year.
And the Spanish team expands to three Cupras for this season with a strong trio of Marco Butti, Viktor Andersson and Adam Shepherd.
ALM Motorsport Honda has also expanded to three full-season entries with the front-running trio of Mike Halder, Ruben Volt and Max Hart.
BRC Racing Team returns for 2026 with two full-season entries for Gabriele Covini and Alex Ley, both driving Hyundai Elantra N TCRs.
Double TCR Italy champion Nicolas Taylor continues with PMA Motorsport alongside the experienced Nicola Baldan. The duo will continue to race Audis while Sandro Pelatti joins them for Mugello as a wild card entry in a Cupra.
TCR South America front runners Squadra Martino will make their debut this season with multiple touring car champion Leonel Pernía, fielding a single Honda with support from RC2 Racing Team.
RC2 Racing Team will field three Hondas for Felipe Fernández, Víctor Fernández, and Victor Chan.
Gone from the preliminary entry list are MM Motorsport and Team Clairet Sport, which brings the number down to 24 cars from the maximum entry of 26 cars, as set by the promoter.
The season opener starts with two free practice sessions on Friday, followed by qualifying at 10:55 CET and the first race at 18:00 on Saturday, with Sunday featuring the second race at 11:00.
