Ramiro Zago joins TCR Italy field with MM Motorsport

Ramiro Zago is going to make his TCR Italy debut this year for MM Motorsport, driving a Honda Civic Type R FL5 TCR.

“I’m thrilled to be racing in TCR Italy! It’s a unique opportunity for me, and I hope I’m up to it,” said Zago.

“I want to thank the entire MM Motorsport team for the opportunity and Emanuele for considering me. It’s a great effort from everyone, and I’m very happy to be able to represent my country in Europe.”

The Argentinian 22-year-old finished third overall in the 2024 Metropolitan Formula 3 Argentina series and completed a first test with the Honda last year at Misano.

“We are very happy to welcome Ramiro to our team. He is young but has a strong background and great speed,” said team principal Emanuele Alborghetti.

“In testing, he immediately demonstrated excellent potential, and we are confident he can grow rapidly even in a competitive category like TCR Italy.

“I am confident that Ramiro will soon be able to realize his high potential and perhaps aim for an overall podium finish during the season.”

Zago will drive alongside already confirmed MM Motorsport driver Marco Pellegrini.
