Pontus Mörth confirmed for Chevrolet

Pontus Mörth has been confirmed as the replacement for Thomas Schie in Chevrolet Team Sweden. Mörth has taken part in the Swedish Touring Car Championship before, but has most recently taken part in the Danish Touring Car Championship.
“I am very happy that we have reached an agreement for the rest of the season! I have wanted to get back to the STCC for a number of years,” said Mörth.

“When the offer came, I did not hesitate for a second,” said Mörth.

Mörth drove for Chevrolet during the 2007 season in the DTC when he finished fifth in the championship.

“I think that my experience of the car from the DTC is going to help me getting up to speed rather quickly,” said Mörth.

Team boss and previous STCC driver Nicklas Karlsson is pleased to have Mörth onboard.

“We are very happy and proud to have Mörth as a driver with us. He is very fast and professional and is going to do everything in his power with us to take good results for the rest of the races this year,” said Karlsson.
