Pics: Super Tourers out in force at Silverstone Classic media day

With the annual Silverstone Classic drawing ever closer, a whole host of historic cars, including a selection of competitors in the HSCC Super Touring Car Championship, took to the Grand Prix circuit at the event’s media and test day.

As well as familiar faces on track, there were a number of ‘new’ Super Tourers out on track, including a second Williams Renault Laguna, a couple of BMWs and three Ford Mondeos – one of which saw Lada WTCC driver Rob Huff behind the wheel, setting a time good enough for pole at the 2013 Classic in the morning session.

As an additional treat, the lunch break saw two different generations of Honda BTCC machinery run side by side. Matt Neal was also out testing Team Dynamics’ new Lotus Cortina.
