One car for Support Our Paras Racing at Oulton Park

Support Our Paras Racing will line up at Oulton Park with only one car on the grid, following the departure of both Infiniti and Martin Donnelly.

The team had been left without a title sponsor since Infiniti pulled its backing between the last meeting at Thruxton and this weekend’s trio of races at Oulton Park. Team boss Derek Palmer Sr was hopeful a suitable driver and/or backer would surface before the fourth meeting of the season.

“We now have a seat available in the second car,” said Palmer Sr, when the split was announced. “This is available from Oulton Park through not only the rest of this season, but the whole of 2016. Also, as the Infiniti ‘sponsorship’ branding will now be removed from both cars, there is now additional space for new, committed sponsors.”

However, no driver has been found and there will also be no major new sponsor, with the team’s Q50 sporting a large Support Our Paras sticker on the side of the car.

As a result, only one Infiniti Q50 will be in action at Oulton Park, as was the case at the opening round of the season when only one car took to the Brands Hatch tarmac. Derek Palmer Jr, who drove the lone Infiniti at Brands Hatch, will be behind the wheel once again.
