B3 Racing to add third car to join Borkovic and Homola

Dusan Borkovic and Mat’o Homola, have been announced by B3 Racing for their maiden TCR International Series season, with the team and drivers making the move from the FIA European Touring Car Cup for 2016, with the team set to field a third SEAT León Cup Racer, with the driver still to be confirmed.

Borkovic will be at the wheel of a SEAT León, just as last year, when he clinched the Single-Make Trophy title. The new car will however be equipped with the latest development package released by SEAT Sport, which includes a sequential gearbox as well as revised bodywork and brakes.

“I am excited before the start of the season”, said the Serbian. “I will have two team-mates for the first time and I am sure I will need to adjust. I am focused on myself and will do my best to improve each race in TCR. The first race is in Bahrain on 3rd of April that we have along with Formula 1, and I am sure it is going to be a great start of the season. A lot of preparations are ahead of me. I hope new SEATs will be ready for tests mid March and that I will be able to feel new performances of the car before the first race in Bahrain.”

Borkovic will be joined by Homola, after an intense battle for the European title last year: “It is funny how Mat’o and I were ‘angry rivals’ not long ago and now we are team-mates”, commented Borkovic. “Although we will still be rivals on the track I am looking forward to us working together and improving.”

Slovakia’s Mat’o Homola added: “I’m very happy that we succeeded and managed [to join the TCR International Series]. At the end of the last season, we evaluated our options for 2016 and I was absolutely sure I wanted to move to a world championship. Progressing to the TCR International Series with a base of quality race drivers was an easy choice.”

“For me personally, this is an enormous challenge,” admitted the Slovakian. “[I will be in a] new championship and will visit many interesting new race tracks. My goal is to show what I know and successfully represent Slovakia. Even though I will be a newcomer in the championship, I want to win as much as I can. Me and my team are definitely curious how far we can go and how much we can achieve.”
