TCR to run Balance of Performance test at Valencia

The organisers of the TCR International Series will run a Performance of Balance test at Valencia in Spain on March 14-15th ahead of the 2016 season.

Driver will once again be former Formula 1 driver and touring car ace Nicola Larini, appointed to drive all cars of the series in order to establish a balance of performance.

“Nicola did a great job last year in Barcelona; his tremendous experience and speed were instrumental in supplying our technicians with all the information they needed. This year his task will be even more important as we will have more cars testing, plus we have data collected during the TCR International Series race weekend that took place in Valencia in May 2015,” said series promoter Marcello Lotti.

The performance of the cars will be set by adjusting the minimum weight, ranging from +70 kilos to -20 kilos, and engine performance through electronic monitoring components.

The result from the BoP test will be used by all TCR series around the world.
