TCR Thailand season finale “delayed indefinitely”

The season finale of the TCR Thailand series scheduled for November 27th at the Bangsaen Street Circuit has been postponed indefinitely, as the country cancels a number of sporting events as part of a year of mourning, marking the death of King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

The cancellation of the Thailand Super Series weekend is one of a number of high profile sports event cancellations, with the remaining fixtures of the Thai FA Cup having also been cancelled.

The postponement of the final round effectively confirms Vattana Motorsport driver Jack Lemvard as the series’ inaugural champion.

Lemvard leads the standings by three points over Dutch driver Carlo van Dam, but was under serious threat from the Singha Motorsport Team Thailand driver, who was on average the higher scorer, but had fallen behind after missing the Buriram round of the championship, which was shared with the TCR International Series.
