Roberto Colciago happy with progress despite burning his foot on the pedal

Roberto Colciago finished fourth in his M1RA Honda Civic TCR in the second free practice session in Bahrain. Despite not using new tyres in the afternoon, the Italian believes he is now in a good shape for the Bahrain weekend.

“This session was much better for me because I now know the tricky points of the track”, said the 2016 TCR Italy champion. “We are still on the same tyres as this morning, so we need to change a few things before the races, but we know we are in a good place.”

The scorching heat of the desert took its toll on Colciago, who went as far as burning his foot on the overheated pedals: “Like for everyone the heat is a problem, not just the engine temperature, but also the heat inside the car. The pedals are so hot that after about six or seven laps I burned my foot. We will have to put something over the metal pedals.”
