Gordon Shedden amongst four penalties at Oulton Park

Gordon Shedden was one of four drivers to be hit with penalties following the fourth meeting of the BTCC season at Oulton Park, although the Honda driver was able to keep his victory in the final race of the weekend.

Shedden was deemed to have been at fault for the incident that saw Josh Cook retire from the race after contact between the pair at Old Hall, and was handed a verbal warning by stewards afterwards.

Earlier in the day, Tom Chilton was handed a reprimand in race one for contact with Will Burns, which triggered a grid drop as his third strike of the campaign.

Chilton’s Power Maxed Racing team-mate Senna Proctor was then handed three points on his licence and fined £500 for the incident at the end of race two that saw Jeff Smith go off at Lodge.

Burns was the final driver to be penalised; being handed a verbal warning for contact with Tom Ingram in race three.
