Dahlgren on pole in Norway
Robert Dahlgren took pole position at the Norwegian track Våler today. The Volvo-driver has dominated the testing sessions and confirmed it with a calm but very quick qualifying lap.
“I have felt safe in everything. Things have gone really well so far and because of that I drove safely,” Robert said with a smile after the qualifying.
Second fastest was Honda-man Tomas Engström with Fredrik Ekblom third in his Audi. Fourth fastest was home-boy Tommy Rustad in his Opel Astra. But the Norwegian wasn´t satisfied with his pace.
“This was the quickest lap I have ever done on this track. It won´t go any quicker than this,” Tommy said.
Championship leader Richard Göransson will start from fifth position on the grid tomorrow. Both the BMW drivers Göransson and Björk, who starts tenth, were complaining about not being able to get the front tyres heated enough.
“It was a too short warm up before the Super Pole for us to get up the temperature in our front tyres,” Göransson said.
Tommy Kristoffersson was sixth, Stureson seventh, Sandström eight and Daniel Haglöf ninth.
