Colciago to Audi, or no Audi?

In an interview with the Swedish newspaper “Dagens Nyheter” Audi-team manager Tommy Kristofferssons expresses concerns over their commitment to the STCC. The team is disapointed with the speed of their A4 last season.

“We must have a quicker car or we might just leave it at that”, Tommy said to DN.

“Last season we had a car that was 10 km/h slower on the straights compared to the other cars, that is not enough if you want to be in the top. I have some demands. Firstly, we must have a quicker car. Secondly, we must afford a good first driver”, Tommy continued.

Fredrik Ekblom could leave the STCC for DTM which would leave the Audi STCC seat open. Previous double STCC-champion Roberto Colciago is rumoured to return.

“Colciago would be a fine choice but I would rather see another season with Fredrik”, Tommy said.

The team will announce their plan on january the 11th.
