New tyre supplier for STCC

All STCC cars will run on Michelin tyres for the 2006 season. Last year Dunlop was the tyre supplier. The new contract with Michelin last from 2006 to 2008.

– We are delighted over the co-operation. A strong and long term deal with a tyre manufacturer which is regarded to have the best racing tyre out there, STCC owner Rickard Pålsson said.

Michelin will have a very active role as partner with STCC both technically and economically.

Recently STCC also announced a new main sponsor. The Swedish company Meca signed a five year deal worth several million Swedish kronor. Meca is a company that sells spare parts for cars.

– STCC is the biggest and the best within Swedish racing and holds a standard that is totally in line with our profile, said Rickard Grann from Meca.

Things are looking promising for STCC since the new owners, Veidec with Rickard Pålsson took over.
