Göransson to Flash

Current STCC champion Richard Göransson will drive BMW this coming season, but not for his previous team West Coast Racing. According to Auto Motor & Sport Göransson has signed for Janne “Flash” Nilsson´s team.

Richard will most likely be driving a brand new BMW 320 E90, one of two cars that Flash Engineering is looking to get for this season. Göransson him self does not want to reveal anything yet.

– I love BMW and it has proven to be a winners car in STCC, ETCC and WTCC. It is too early to say anything yet, I have some doors open, Göransson said.

There is no word on who will be the replacement for Göransson at WCR. Team boss Dick Wigroth confirms the exit of Göransson.

– I can confirm that. I can only wish him good luck and hope that he will stay in STCC. Now it is up to us to see if there is any new Göransson out there for us to get, Dick said.
