Carl Rosenblad still want to win

Carl Rosenblad entered the STCC this season from WTCC with a firm goal – to win the championship. At the season start his message was: “I’m coming back to STCC with one goal, and that is to be fastest from first training session to the last race,” said Rosenblad.

But this season has not gone his way. Right now he is 13:th in the championship and has only taken points in two races. His best position is seventh so far. Things looked good at the previous race when he started third and held the lead for many laps. But rain started falling and Rosenblad was off track many times.

“we had a strategy that should be the best when it rains. We started on slicks until the track was completely wet. Then we changed to wets that should be six to eight seconds quicker per lap. But the tyres were not good enough, I had no grip at all and was off the track several times,” Rosenblad said to STCC.se

But the hope and determination has not left Rosenblad yet with two races still to be run.

“Before the season start I said that there are 12 or 13 drivers that can take a victory this year and that there only are nine races. That ment of course that some drivers are going to be disappointed. I’m not going to be one of them. I want to take two victories this year, that is a obvious goal,” Rosenblad said.
