A non-Swede to KMS/Audi?

The everlasting story about which drivers will be in the KMS Audi STCC team 2007 is not over yet. Audi has still not given champion Thed Björk any word on his chances of going to DTM. Rumors in Sweden indicate both things, that he has a good chance of getting the DTM-drive and that he will stay in Sweden. But one of the most recent and interesting rumour is that a foreign driver will take the third seat with Audi.

Team boss Tommy Kristoffersson will continue driving, but the two remaining seats are open. If Björk does not get a DTM-drive for Audi, he will continue in STCC with Audi.

“Last autumn I felt that I really wanted to go to DTM. Now STCC is looking just as interesting. My focus now is on training so I can be prepared for the coming season,” Björk said.

The third seat at Audi is still up for grabs. Swedish youngsters Roger Eriksson and Jimmy Johansson are both up for the seat. Both have done tests for Audi recently. But now it seems like they get competition from a foreign driver within the “Audi family”, as our sources indicate. Peter Terting could be one chose as he is very popular within Audi and has recently lost his WTCC SEAT-drive.

For a while now it has been said that a decision is just around the corner. But the clock is ticking and nothing is said yet. Will it be Björk-Terting-Kristoffersson or Kristoffersson-Terting-Eriksson?
