Björk, Kristoffersson & Stippler with Audi

The driver line-up for Audi in the Swedish Touring Car Championship seems to be almost set – Thed Björk, Tommy Kristoffersson and Frank Stippler.
“It looks like it, but there is still much room left to change that line-up,” team owner and driver Kristoffersson said.

About a month ago the team tested in Spain with Björk, Kristoffersson and Stippler driving the cars. The team will use the same line up at the coming STCC test in Spain where most of the top teams will be present.

“I do not see the drive line-up as a problem. We are working on running three cars, but there are still some things left to solve before we can be certain of it. We have a really skilled team around us, good drivers and a good programme with Audi Sport Germany that I want to go through with. But to do that it takes a lot of financial resources, and we are not really there yet,” Kristofferson said.

The goal for the team is to keep their position in the top of the field.
“To take a half step back is not an option. We are mainly competing against BMW, a manufacturer that aims to win WTCC and has got two extremely good teams in STCC. We tried everything last year to be able to win. This year BMW will be even stronger and we must develop at the same pace to be able to match them.”
