Rosenblad joins STCC premiere

Carl Rosenblad announced previously that he will not run the Swedish Touring Car Championship this year due to financial problems. But today the Swede announced that he will take part in the premiere at Sturup in little less than two weeks.

“We will not run the entire series, but I so much want to do the premiere at my home track,” Rosenblad said.
“I always wanted to run STCC at Sturup. I took my racing license at this track in 1989 and know the track best of all STCC-drivers.”

Though Rosenblad hasn’t seen his BMW 320si E90 since the final race of STCC 2006.
“Since no one else has that much experience from this track, this is the track to come least prepared to,” said Rosenblad.

Rosenblad reports that he he will not compete in any more touring car races this year even though rumours indicate that he could join the WTCC race in Sweden.
“I am still working on getting a Le Mans-drive and that takes a lot of time and energy. But Sturup will happen, I would not miss the opportunity to win there.”
