The future is uncertain for Rosenblad
The future for Carl Rosenblad and the Elgh Motorsport team seems uncertain. In 2006 Rosenblad and the team returned to the Swedish Touring Car Championship after running in the World Touring Car Championship. But for the 2007 season Rosenblad was forced to sit out from the STCC due to financial reasons. But a return in 2008 was promised, something that seems to have changed now.
“I would have hoped that the odds were going to be better than what they are today to get to the starting grid next year,” said Rosenblad to STCC.se.
This year Rosenblad have done a couple of races like Le Mans, the STCC premiere and the WTCC race at Anderstorp.
“We have not completely given up. But it is not enough to get 200.000 € in the STCC. Then you cannot be in the top fight,” said Rosenblad.
If the team does not get to the start line of STCC 2008 they could be forced to close down the team.
“For me personally it is a very sad position to not being able to compete in the STCC. We have a very competent team. It is a big decision for us to decide to close down, but at the same time it costs a lot of money to just have everything standing without using it. Everyone who runs a company knows this,” said Rosenblad.
