Honda team to test with N-Technology
The Swedish Touring Car Championship Honda-team and the new World Touring Car Championship N-Technology Honda-team will complete a test together on Monday. The test will take place in Spain on the Valencia-track.
“We will travel there with our engineers and drivers to Valencia where the WTCC-team will complete their first test,” said Honda-driver Tomas Engström to STCC.se.
Engström and Thed Björk will join James Thompson who will return behind the wheel of a Honda Accord. Last Thompson drove a Accord was in the BTCC during the Super Touring-days.
“We will not drive but we will be a part of the development work. The test is completely open and we are hoping to gather a lot of data,” said Engström.
The two Honda-teams will complete two further tests together. The first of the two will take place at Vallelunga in Italy on March 27 to 28th.
“It is a track that has all types of corners and if you get a good setup on that track you have good settings for almost any tracks,” said Engström.
The Swedish team is planning to do yet another test before the firs official STCC-test that takes place at Knutstorp on April the 3rd and 4th.
