Russians test Audi for Kristoffersson
Kristoffersson Motorosport lost their official support from Audi after the 2007 season. Due to that the plan was to run one car for Tommy Kristoffersson. Now it seems that it could become two cars. Andrey Smetsky and Alexander Lvov are present with KMS at Sturup during the first official test of the year.
“It could be Audi in STCC for us. We will take the decision after the tests at Sturup and Knutstorp,” said Smetsky to STCC.se.
The plan for Smetsky and Lvov at first was to run their Honda Accord’s in selected races of the STCC and WTCC. But the situation for the previous official Audi-team Kristoffersson Motorsport changed the situation for them.
“Our main purpose is to get driving time. The Swedish tracks are more like the European ones compared to our Russian tracks. This is mainly to prepare us for WTCC-races but also to look over the possibilities to do a couple of STCC-races,” said Smetsky.
